"Miss Internet" My computer tech goddess.
If ever I need anything, Miss Internet is there to offer her
advice, wisdom and support. I met Miss Internet in 1996 outside a
Cure show in Chicago. Somehow she ended up in front of me at the
show in a seat that wasn't assigned to her. Bitchet emerged and
said, "Do I know you?" in a snotty, holier than thou manner. Miss
Internet caught on quick to Bitchet and was nice as can be by
explaining that I didn't know her but she got separated from her
friends. I saw Miss Internet again at the Cure show in Milwaukee
where she exchanged phone numbers with my friend Colleen and we made
plans to go to New Orleans and Texas to see The Cure again. From
then on Miss Internet and I have been great friends. We talk on
AIM all day and she is brutally honest with me when I need her to be.
"August" My best friend. I
received a letter from August from a little blurb I wrote about myself
in a Cure publication called "Cure News". It was a summer day in
1992. She listed things that she liked, "thunderstorms (punk!),
black eyeliner (goth!) and 'Chuck, my love' (lame!). " I
instantly wrote back thinking she was the coolest person who had
ever sent me a letter. We corresponded through letters for some
time until we both went and saw Nitzer Ebb together at the State
Theater. It was our first time meeting. She thought I was a
bitch! But, she loved me anyway. Since then we have
developed a friendship that is like sisters on every level. I
love August with every fiber of who I am and I couldn't imagine my life
without her to guide me with her thoughtful and gentle words. She
makes me laugh at everything and nothing. Every time we are
together a new inside joke is born! I couldn't ask for a better
friend. I am truly blessed.
"SashDUBshe" My best friend. I've known SashDUBshe for almost as long as I have known August only the first time I met SashDUBshe
she was with this one girl who i later realized I couldn't stand.
Anyway, since that time SashDUBshe and I have developed a strong
friendship and a deep understanding for each other. She provides
me with a surge of happiness every time I am in her presence.
Sash is the funniest person I know. She has a way of taking
any situation and bringing a smile or a chuckle to it. Sash has
had to overcome a lot of personal things this year. I have done
my best to be steadfast in my friendship with her and be supportive and
attentive to her feelings and sadness. I can only hope my efforts
are half as good as she is in supporting me. I am honored to have
one of my best friends be SashDUBshe.
"TGIM"
"The Guy I Married" - He's all about golf and American Eagle.
He cares more about what he looks like than any woman I have ever
met. He belongs to a Country Club and dyes his hair, goatee and
eyebrows blonde. The epitome of vain, he's a bank exec and with
mirrors and windows all over his office.
"JAVAS"
My best friend. It's best not to get on JAVAS bad side
otherwise get ready to have your head bitten off. She and I get
along so well because we are both abrasive bitches who have no problem
calling you out on the fact that we wish you were never born!
"The Marbles" Those little munchkins who i love and adore. There are three Marbles. Pink, Blue and Green:
"Pink Marble"
Pink Marble is seven going on seventeen. She is going to be a great prosecuting attorney one of these
days. She has a quick response for everything I say. She is
super intelligent and nothing gets past her. She is my first born
and encapsulates every essence of the stereotypical first born child.
She can make you laugh one minute and drive you nuts the next.
"Blue
Marble" Blue Marble is six and is everything I was as a child. She is
strong, independent, intelligent, funny. Connected to her mouth
all through out the day is "Blankie". Blankie is a part of
Blue Marble just as much as her arms or legs. She has
gorgeous curly hair and her love for animals (horses mostly) makes me
think she will make an excellent veterinarian.
"Green
Marble" Green
Marble is the baby. I have a hard time grasping that she will be
three soon. She loves to color on the walls, furniture and floors
in blue ball point pen. Her vocabulary is phenomenal. She
says things that makes me wonder how on earth does she know the meaning
of that phrase. Green Marble loves to eat popsicles while
watching Go Deigo Go!
"Wobega" Wobega is my rock. She is there for me through every
experience in my life. From getting my nose pierced to the first
time I saw The Cure to the birth of all my children. She is
everything I wish to be as a mother!
"TBPITW"
TBPITW is the grandpa. The Marble's are released to him almost
every weekend so I can regain my sanity and get my house back in order.
